STATEMENT OF FAITH

Statement of Fundamental Truths

The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for life, faith, and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all believe and speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10; Acts 2:42).

One God

There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who is infinitely perfect (Matthew 5:48), existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Jesus Christ is fully God and man (Philippians 2:6–11). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:34–38). He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust (1 Peter 3:18), as a substitutionary sacrifice (Hebrews 2:9), and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood (Romans 5:9). He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures (Acts 2:23–24). He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest (Hebrews 8:1). He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness, and peace (Matthew 26:64)

Relationship with God

The most important relationship in life is man’s personal relationship with God. The one true God has revealed Himself as the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

God Speaks to the Believer

The voice of God is made available to the believer. (John 10:27, John 8:47, Isaiah 30:21, 2 Timothy 3:16 TPT, Acts 13:2)

The Divinity of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a divine person (John 14:15–18). The Holy Spirit has been given to lead, guide and comfort the believer here on the earth; and is evidence of the new birth. With it comes the infilling of power for life, service and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (John 14:15-18, John 16:13, Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Cor. (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).

Authority of the Scriptures

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God. It is the revelation of God to man, empowered by the Spirit, the infallible truth teaching and showing us how to live. It is God speaking to man. God’s road map to man on how to navigate life.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

Original Sin, Salvation and Restoration

Man was created in the image and likeness of God to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish, subdue and have dominion on the earth (Genesis 1:27-28). He fell through disobedience, incurring both physical and spiritual death. All men are born therefore with a sinful nature from the first Adam (Ps. 51:5, Romans 3:23), are separated from eternal life with God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ: The Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:20–23, 45-49). Salvation has been given through Jesus Christ for all men; those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, become the children of the God, and returned to the original plan to manifest God’s Glory in the earth (Titus 3:4–7).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be set apart (1 Thessalonians 5:23). They should be separated from sin and the world fully dedicated to the Will of God, empowered by the Spirit for holy living and effective service (Acts 1:8). The believer's life before the conversion is both a turning point and progressive experience; empowering the believer to Grow in Grace (Romans 6:1–14; 12:1-2).

Healing Power

Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for healing the mortal body (Matthew 8:16–17). Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges to be expected for the church in this present age (James 5:13–16).

The Church

The Church consists of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, redeemed through His blood, and born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church (Ephesians 1:22–23), which he has commissioned to go into the world, preaching the gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19–20). Additionally, the local church is a body of believers in Christ. They are joined together to worship God for edification through God's Word, prayer, fellowship, and the gospel proclamation.

Ministry

The ministry is divinely called and scripturally ordained by the Lord Jesus for a two-fold purpose: (1) The evangelization of the world and (2) The edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 16:15, 20; Eph. 4:11-13).

Grace Teaches us How to Live

The Grace of God is available to all through the preaching of salvation and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; teaching us how to live daily as we are awaked to righteousness (right standing with God) (1 Cor 15:34), and it equips us to live Christ inspired Spirit led and upright, Godly lives in this present age. (1 John 4:17 KJV, Titus 2:11-12 TPT)

The Resurrection and Second Coming

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life (1 Corinthians 15:20–23); for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment (John 5:28–29).

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Hebrews 10:37) and will be personal and visible (Luke 21:27). This is the believer’s hope and is a vital truth that is an incentive to continual cultivation of intimate fellowship with Christ yielding faithful service (Titus 2:11–14).
